Vision XRAY Group is a Private Practice. We base our fees on recommendations by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists. We attempt to keep our gap payments to a minimum while maintaining the highest standards in imaging technology.
For privately paying patients we would appreciate full payment of your account on the day of examination. You may then claim back the relevant rebate from Medicare. Currently, private health insurers do not cover radiological procedures for outside of Hospital inpatients.
In order to provide the highest standard of imaging to all patients, Vision XRAY Group also accepts patients whose referrer requests they are bulk-billed. We also bulk-bill all patients who hold a Commonwealth Government Pension or Health Care Card at all sites, for most procedures. This applies to examinations where a Medicare rebate is applicable.
For Department of Veteran Affairs patients eligible examinations are paid by DVA directly with no patient out of pocket expense.
Patients with a valid WorkCover number and appropriate referral will be billed directly to WorkCover and no patient payment will be required.
If you require any services by our practice during a stay in hospital, you will receive a separate account from us. We are a separate entity to the private hospitals and we bill for our services separately. The hospital should explain this prior to your admission.
Your private health insurer may make a contribution towards your fees for medical imaging, and will usually cover the fee in full.
If you require medical imaging examinations outside normal practice hours, an additional charge will be incurred.
Out-of-pocket expenses or gap
This is the difference between the Medicare rebate you receive and the fee charged. This is also known as the “Gap” payment.
We accept all major credit cards, Eftpos and cash.
Please note that we do not accept personal cheques.
